Prom

 Olivia's final homeschool prom was tonight at the Dellwood Country Club. We both liked the natural area behind the clubhouse which had a variety of rocks and flowers.

Checking on the Land

During the winter we still walk the property to make sure that everything is okay. It's important as caretakers of these ten acres that animals are safe and not hurt anywhere on it. We enjoyed seeing all the activity wherever we walked - tracks, rubbings on trees, and "beds" that the animals made in the grass and weeds.

Celebrating Chinese Culture

For Olivia's senior photos, she wore a traditional Chinese dress that we purchased when she was adopted in 2003. She picked out the headpiece to complement her dress.

Clearwater Portage

A family was canoeing and had walked their canoes from one lake to this lake. The father is putting the first of two canoes into Clearwater Lake.



Antique Gas Pump

This antique gas pump is at Trail Center in Grand Marais. I remember pumps like this when I was growing up and thought the numbers went by so slowly. Now, the pumps are digital and the numbers - and price - go up much too quickly.
